1. Who we are
Aethr is developed by Kasl BI s.r.o., Bratislava, Slovakia ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Aethr app for iPhone and Apple Watch and this website. Contact: info_aethr@kaslbi.com.
2. Data the app uses, and where it stays
Aethr works on your devices. It does not send your personal data to us, and we have no server that stores it.
- Apple Health (HealthKit). With your permission, Aethr reads workouts, routes, heart rate, power, cadence, running dynamics, sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and VO₂max from Apple Health. It computes analytics on your iPhone and stores only the derived results (for example training load, zones, climbs and records) in the app's private storage on the device.
- Writing to Apple Health. When you import a FIT, GPX or TCX file, or record a workout with the Aethr watch app, Aethr saves that workout to Apple Health with your permission.
- Profile and settings. Values you enter, such as weight, thresholds, zones and gear, are stored on your device only.
- Files you import. Imported files are processed on the device and not kept after the workout is saved.
Health data obtained through HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties.
3. Apple services the app uses
- Weather (Apple WeatherKit). To add weather to a workout or show current conditions, the app sends a location (the workout start or your current position, if you allow location access) and a time to Apple's weather service. You can turn weather off in Settings.
- Maps (Apple Maps / MapKit). Map tiles for routes are loaded from Apple. Apple may receive the map area being viewed.
- Purchases (App Store). In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details.
These requests are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not receive them.
4. Permissions
- Apple Health: read workouts and health metrics; write imported and watch-recorded workouts.
- Location (while using): current weather on the iPhone; route recording on Apple Watch.
- Bluetooth (Apple Watch): heart-rate straps, cadence sensors and power meters.
- Photos (add only): saving share images and videos you create.
You can change any permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.
5. Sharing
Images, videos, GPX files and text summaries are created on your device. They leave it only when you choose to share them, through the iOS share sheet, to the destination you pick.
6. Retention and deletion
Aethr's analytics live in the app's storage on your iPhone. Settings, then Rebuild analytics wipes and recomputes them. Deleting the app removes them. Your original workouts remain in Apple Health, where you manage them.
7. This website
The website has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses in server logs for security. If you use the contact or feature-request form, we receive your email address, optional name and sport, and your message, delivered to our inbox through our email provider. We use them only to reply, or to send launch news if you asked for it, and delete them when no longer needed. Ask us anytime to delete them.
8. Children
Aethr is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Your rights
Because the app does not send us personal data, we generally hold none about you. For data you sent us by email or form, you can request access, correction or deletion at info_aethr@kaslbi.com. In the EU you may also complain to your data protection authority; in Slovakia that is the Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky.
10. Changes
We will update this page if anything changes and show the new date at the top.
